At midnight, we will welcome our valued guests in front of Ayas Tourism in İskenderun and embark on a journey towards Mardin, where diverse cultures and beliefs converge, from Syriacs to Arabs, creating a rich tapestry of religions and languages. We will reach Mardin in the morning and kickstart our mesmerizing tour after a delightful breakfast, exploring the enchanting stone craftsmanship and urban allure that Mardin has to offer. Our adventure in Old Mardin will commence with a visit to the Kasımiye Medrese, where the guide's narrations in the medrese courtyard will captivate you once again. Next, we will begin our walk toward the Ulu Cami (Grand Mosque). Wandering through the narrow stone streets and bazaars, we will visit the Camii Kebir, Mardin's largest mosque, and continue our journey. Along the way, we will also enjoy panoramic views of the Şehidiye Medrese, the Zinciriye Medrese, and the historical PTT building, a beautiful mansion. Afterward, we will take a break, sipping tea and coffee while overlooking the Mesopotamian Plains. Following the break, we will accompany our esteemed guests to explore the renowned Gümüşçüler Bazaar, where those interested can partake in shopping. Concluding our tour of Mardin, we will head to Midyat, the heart of the Tur Abdin region, which holds significance as one of the earliest settlements of the Syriacs. At the Guest House, known for its role as the filming location of the TV series "Sıla," we will take a lunch break at the famous Midyat Beyaz Suyu. After a refreshing break, we will change our course and head to the Mor Gabriel Monastery, located in the village of Güngören, 23 km away from Midyat. Our guide will provide an insightful narration about this historical site before we proceed to the Meryem Ana Kilisesi (Church of Virgin Mary) and the Patriarchate, another significant landmark in the region. Next, we will take you to the renowned Syriac Wine Cellars, where you can taste or purchase the famous Syriac wine. Guests interested in wine tasting can enjoy this unique experience.
