Santa Cruz de Tenerife is the capital of the Spanish island of Tenerife and, together with Las Palmas, the capital of the Canary Islands. On the island there are a number of museums, an art gallery and the baroque church Iglesia de la Concepción, which you can visit. Shoppers can enjoy extensive shopping in the two department stores in El Corte Ingles. Naturally, the island has many wonderful beaches, of which those in the south are the busiest. One of the most famous beaches is Las Teresitas, made of imported yellow sand. A real attraction on Santa Cruz de Tenerife is the carnival. When you visit the capital of Tenerife in February you can experience one of the biggest and most spectacular events on the island. For the rest, visit the city's largest square, Plaza de España, and the two tallest twin towers in Spain; the Torres de Santa Cruz.

Madeira is located in the Atlantic Ocean about 1000 kilometers from Portugal. Madeira has beautiful nature with many exotic flowers, the island is very popular with nature lovers and hikers. Madeira has very few beaches and the coast is very rugged. Funchal is the capital of the island. The town is located in the sunny south of the island where the houses are built close together on the slopes of a wide bay. Funchal has many attractions such as botanical gardens, parks and historic buildings. The Funchal market is a well-known place in the city, where fruit and vegetables are promoted by local farmers. What you will also see a lot on the market are the older women selling flowers in traditional costumes.

Arrecife is a city and the capital on the island of Lanzarote. Lanzarote, with 12 more islands, is part of the Canary Islands. The center of Arrecife with its shops and markets and the famous castle of San José are both definitely worth a visit. You will also find the authentic Spanish street scene in the city center, where there are many restaurants and cafes with typical tapas. Enjoy the sun on Playa del Reducto beach, a very popular city beach. For a quiet, intimate and secluded beach, Play del Cable is perfect. Arrecife has a desert climate, which means it has pleasant temperatures at any time of the year.

The sun that almost always shines here, the sea breeze that keeps the temperature pleasant, combined with the beautiful wide sandy beaches make Gran Canaria a true holiday paradise. Visit Palmitos Park, a subtropical oasis with more than 1,000 species of palm trees, many exotic birds, some of which fly freely, a butterfly house and an aquarium. Stroll through the historic district, La Vegueta in the capital Las Palmas. This district is home to some of the city's most beautiful buildings, such as the Santa Ana Cathedral, the Casa de Colon and the Casa Consistorial. The square in front of the cathedral, Plaza de Santa Ana, offers some nice photo opportunities thanks to its beautiful buildings and eight bronze statues of different dogs.

Santa Cruz is the capital of La Palma and has a beautiful historic center. This Canary Island is famous for its flora and fauna and the island with eternal spring. There is a quiet atmosphere and it is mountainous. On this beautiful island you can enjoy beautiful gorges, green dense forests and beautiful streams on the north side of the island. The south side is a lot barer and known for the great lava slopes. La Palma is very popular among hikers and offers many hiking trails. There are some beaches that consist of black lava sand.
